Garbage/Refuse Information
The City of Blair has a contract with Tri City Sanitation for our refuse collection. All residents are required to purchase specially marked BLUE BAGS. This saves our residents money by only paying for what they are personally disposing of, rather than a flat fee averaging refuse pick up for the whole City.
Brush Site
The City of Blair has a free brush site available for our residents. It is located on South River Road, approximately 2 miles on the left hand side by the whey ponds.
Brush only; do not leave plastic bags or boxes behind.
Compost Site

- Curbside pick up is every Tuesday by 8 a.m.
- Garbage bags can be purchased at: City Office, Express Mart/BP or Kwik Trip
- 33 gallon bags are 10 for $25.00
- 16 gallon bags are 10 for $20.00

- The City compost site is free to city residents and maintained by the City crew.
- It is located on Skumlien Road, past the pole shed to the opening in the trees on the left. You may dump compost items such as leaves, plant cuttings, and grass.

Recycling Information
The City of Blair encourages all residents of the City to recycle within the guidelines set forth.
Curbside recycling pickup is the second and fourth Thursday of the month.
-YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN CONTAINERS.
-ALL ITEMS MUST BE PACKAGED, BAGGED OR TIED.
-ALL ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETELY CLEAN AND SEPARATED.
ALUMINUM:
Drain, rinse and crush. CARDBOARD & CHIPBOARD:
Flatten; tie with string in easy to handle bundle or place in grocery bag or box.
GLASS:
Throw caps and lids in trash, wash with soap and water.
*Not Acceptable: Ceramic, clay, crystal, drinking glasses, light bulbs, mirrors,
window glass, plates, oven wares, broken glass of any kind.
MAGAZINES & CATALOGS: NO LONGER BEING TAKEN
NEWSPRINT:
Bundle and tie with strong string or place in grocery sack or box.
*Newspaper only - Phone books, magazines, and chipboard are all kept separate
OFFICE PAPER:
Place in grocery bag or box. Includes junk mail, envelopes, writing paper.
PLASTICS:
Wash throw caps, lids, pumps in trash
*Acceptable: #1 thru #2 drink, food, soap containers
*Not Acceptable: Plastic bags, clear film, foam of any type, medical supplies,
flower containers, tubs, toys, caps or lids.
TIN CANS:
Wash, cut out ends, flatten and place in grocery bag or box.
CARDBOARD:
Flatten cardboard and place in sack or tie into a bundle
